The Party's ethnic work and all other initiatives in areas with large ethnic minority populations should focus on forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation. To align with this, the Xizang Autonomous Region continuously deepens the creation of a model area for national ethnic unity and progress, propelling high-quality development in ethnic affairs. The various ethnic groups are closely united like the seeds of a pomegranate, fostering a socialist ethnic relationship characterized by equality, unity, mutual assistance, and harmony, which is increasingly strengthened.

In April 2023, the Institute of Nation Community at Xizang University was selected as a "Research Base for Forging a Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation" by the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Education, and the National Ethnic Affairs Commission. It is the first national-level platform in philosophy and social sciences at Xizang University and an important think tank in the Xizang Autonomous Region. In 2023, nine academic works were published, including Research on the Inheritance and Protection of Xizang 'Gesar' Epic Balladists and Research on Thoughts of Great Unification in Ancient China and the National Identity of the Tibetan Ethnic Group.
