Through delivering significant speeches and issuing pivotal directives on Xizang, he has provided essential guidance for carrying out effective work in the region.


In 1998, Xi Jinping, then Deputy Secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, paid an inspection visit to Xizang, sent off the second batch of officials aiding Xizang, and welcomed back the first batch.

In July 2021, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Xizang to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Xizang and to meet and greet officials and people from various ethnic groups in the region. Xi Jinping, as the CPC General Secretary, Chinese President, and the Chairman of the Central Military Commission, visited Xizang for the 70th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of the region. This momentous visit underscored the CPC Central Committee's backing of Xizang's endeavors and its commitment to the welfare of officials and residents from diverse ethnic groups in the area.



On July 22, 2021, General Secretary Xi Jinping took a special train to inspect the construction progress along the Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway, delving deep into relevant matters.
